Technical Info
- The depth of the U channel is ideal for disguising any discrepancy in the plumbness of the wall, allowing for the glass to be cut straight.
- Durable, corrosion-resistant finish
- Channel walls are a minimum of 2mm thick for superior strength and stability
Installation
- Correct installation of shower screen fixings is essential to prevent accidents and ensure the stability of the shower screen.
- These channels are commonly installed on the wall & floor to hold the glass panels in place, using silicone to secure the glass into place. We always recommend opting for a floor channel whenever possible for additional stability while the silicone used also offers water-tight seals.
- Many will position the drill holes along the grouting line to avoid damage to the tiles when drilling, however specialist drill bits are available for securing into the tiles themselves.
N.B: Do not screw the U channel onto the shower tray, instead use silicone only. Drilling may pierce the membrane, resulting in leaks. - U channels can be combined with our range of Support Bars for additional stability. Door hinges can also be used to create your bespoke shower enclosure.
