Why frameless glass balustrade systems are becoming so popular.

As terraces and balconies become more popular in residential homes and commercial spaces, so does the demand for glass balustrades. Glass balustrading is not only a favoured contemporary design feature, it also opens up views and creates safe spaces.

At GlassParts we are increasingly supplying frameless glass balustrade systems for both the domestic and commercial sectors. Here we examine why frameless glass balustrade systems are becoming so popular.

Why specify a frameless glass balustrade system?

Frameless glass balustrade systems are perfect for external balconies and internal stairwells, and can also be integrated into aluminium door frames. They benefit from having no obstruction and a minimalist finish that meets contemporary design expectations.

Toughened, laminated structural glass specifically designed for frameless balustrade systems provides exceptional safety and strength, so quality and toughness are not compromised.

At GlassParts we supply frameless glass balustrade systems for applications of all sizes, from a domestic balcony to a stadium.

A channel base runs along the bottom of the balustrading. It holds the glass in place and hides all the fixings to present a clear, frameless glass panel.

Cost effective glass balustrade channels

A frameless glass balustrade channel removes the need for upright supports. The channel can be fixed to the floor surface or recessed below floor level. Cost effective glass balustrade channels are available from GlassParts.

The Eazi-Rail Top Mount Glass Balustrade Channel with stainless steel effect is only 65mm wide. It’s strong, yet lightweight and easy to install without the need for scaffolding or hoists.
